Critters in Need Pet Rescue--what we do.

Critters in Need Pet Rescue is a non-profit volunteer organization based in Orange County, Calif. We are dedicated to saving the lives of abandoned dogs and finding them loving homes.

We have over 30 dogs available for adoption right now. We have both purebred and mixed breed dogs, small and large.

The photo is of our dog of the week, Jasper, a lovely cocker spaniel mix that we rescued from a high-kill shelter on the day he was due to be euthanized.

We also have dogs that need fosters, such as Gunner and Roxy, Star and Rusty. Please take a look at them on our website:

CrittersRescueOnline.org

Critters in Need Pet Rescue is always in need of volunteers and donations. Please contact us at Dogs@CrittersRescue.com if you wish to help.

One of our recent fosters wrote up a very lovely account of how fostering (and later adopting) Kona from us changed her life. In fact, she is currently fostering Jasper in the hopes that he will be added to their family.

Please click here to read her story.

Come visit our dogs at PetSmart, located on the northwest corner of Jamboree and Barranca in Tustin, on Saturday afternoons. Please click here for details.

I'm so happy I could bring Kona into my home and Jasper is a doll although Kona is really not putting up with any lip from him.

He's sweet, happy and quite bouncy and he just wants to be part of someone's "pack".

Thanks so much for sharing this, I hope you will allow me to post about what I learn regarding puppy mills and backyard breeders and to share my stories of fostering and adopting rescue dogs.

Oh definitely! Puppy mills are just the worst. I just got an email about a puppy mill breeder in Ohio who is going to dump 50 dogs at the pound. Spread the word. Here it is:

RED ALERT ~ 50 DOGS ON THEIR WAY TO SHELTER NOW!

GET CRACK'EN FOLKS, CARROLL COUNTY IS JAMMED PACKED AS IT IS, THESE DOGS ARE SURELY GOING TO DIE UNLESS WE JUMP ON THIS NOW!!

I was just informed that there is a "Breeder" who going to take 50, yes 50, beagles in to Carroll County Dog pound on Monday. Carroll County only has 18 runs.

PLEASE I AM BEGGING!!!Someone has to speak for some of these dogs!!!!

If not, a lot of them will be headed to the gas chamber the minute they get there Monday.

He wanted to bring them in today, kill day - but we talked him in to bringing them Monday. He has a lot more that he wants to "dump" also, but he is going to start with 50.

PLEASE PLEASE HELP!!!! You can contact me with any thing you need or Amy at phillipskits@yahoo.com
